The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures (FLLD) at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is located on the 4th floor of the Hsiu-Chi Building. To reach the Hsiu-Chi Building, you may enter the Kuang-Fu Campus through the rear gate on Xiaodong Road. The building is also situated directly across from the National Cheng Kung University Hospital. If you plan to visit FLLD, here are three suggested routes for your reference:

By Train

Get off at “Tainan” Station and exit through the rear (back) station exit. Turn left, and you will see the Kuang-Fu Campus of NCKU ahead on your right (across from Far Eastern Department Store and Shangri-La Hotel).

To reach the Hsiu-Chi Building, you could

Walk straight along Qianfeng Road (northbound) →

Turn right onto Xiaodong Road (Provincial Highway 180) and continue straight →

The rear gate of the Kuang-Fu Campus will appear on your right →

Enter the gate, turn left, and walk straight ahead. You will arrive at the Hsiu-Chi Building.

By Car

• Southbound:

Take National Freeway No. 1 southbound → exit at Dawan Interchange and turn right → continue straight along Xiaodong Road (Provincial Highway 180) to reach the campus. (The Hsiu-Chi Building is located directly across from the National Cheng Kung University Hospital)

If traveling on National Freeway No. 3 (Formosa Freeway) southbound, transfer to National Freeway No. 8 (westbound), which connects to National Freeway No. 1 (southbound), and then follow the directions above.

• Northbound:

Take National Freeway No. 1 northbound → exit at Rende Interchange and turn left → continue west along Dongmen Road toward downtown Tainan → turn right (northbound) at either Linsen Road or Changrong Road → turn left onto Xiaodong Road (Provincial Highway 180) and continue straight to reach the campus. (The Hsiu-Chi Building is located directly across from the National Cheng Kung University Hospital.)

If traveling on National Freeway No. 3 northbound, transfer to Expressway No. 86 (westbound), which connects to National Freeway No. 1 (northbound). Then follow the directions above.
 

By High-Speed Rail (HSR)

For those arriving at Tainan HSR Station, transfer to the TRA Shalun Station via the second-floor passageway or Exit 1 on the first floor of the station hall. Take a local train to “Tainan” Railway Station (trains depart approximately every 30 minutes, and the ride takes about 20 minutes). From the rear exit of Tainan Station, it is within walking distance to the NCKU Kuang-Fu Campus.

To reach the Hsiu-Chi Building:

Walk straight along Qianfeng Road (northbound) →

Turn right onto Xiaodong Road (Provincial Highway 180) and continue straight→

The rear gate of the Kuang-Fu Campus will appear on your right →

Enter the gate, turn left, and walk straight ahead. You will arrive at the Hsiu-Chi Building.
