History
Our department is distinguished by a strong and diverse faculty team, with the majority holding professorial and associate professorial ranks. This composition reflects a wealth of academic expertise and teaching experience. At the same time, our young assistant professors bring fresh perspectives and innovative research energy. Together, this balanced structure ensures that the department combines tradition with innovation, providing students with both solid foundations and forward-looking insights. With careful planning of various committees and support from alumni, the Department has achieved rapid and balanced growth. Located in the Hsiu-chi Building on Kuang-Fu Campus, blending classical and modern architecture, the Department stands as a major academic hub equally devoted to literature, linguistics, and language education.
