ICCS Calls for Postdoctoral Researchers Applications

Employer: International Center for Cultural Studies, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (ICCS-NYCU).

Position: Postdoctoral Researcher (National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) supports the recruitment of doctoral-level researchers in the fields of humanities and social sciences.)

Eligibility:

1. Nationals or foreign nationals who have obtained a Ph.D. degree in the disciplines of the humanities and social sciences in any domestic or foreign institutions.
2. Proficiency in both Mandarin and English editing is preferred. Proficiency in school administrative processes is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Participate in one of the sub-projects under the center’s mid- to long-term project, "Conflict, Justice, Decolonization 2.0: Asia in Transition in the 21st Century."( https://iccs.chss.nycu.edu.tw/en/research.php) The sub-projects include: 1) The Geopolitics and Cultural Economy of Societal Relations in a New GreaterChina, 2) Digital Governance (under preparation), 3) Migration, Unequal Citizens, and Critical Legal Studies, 4) Environmental Crises and Multi-species Justice in the 21st Century: Toward Decolonization Beyond the Human, 5) The Chinese Contemporary: Spiritual Problems, Sentimental Education, and Historical Narratives, 6) Social Intervention and Artistic Production.

Responsibilities also include writing research project reports and research papers.

1. Execute academic administration tasks for the center, including organizing workshops and international conferences, assisting in editing and publication, and managing tasks of international partnerships and alliances for the Transit Asia Research Network. Salary and Benefits:

1. Salary will be provided according to the Ministry of Science and Technology's standards for postdoctoral researchers. Relevant experience may be credited (subject to approval by NSTC), and the position includes labor insurance and a year-end bonus.

Contract Period:

One-year contract. The renewal should be reapplied to and approved by the NSTC.

5. Research proposal.
